Mahmoud Ahmed

Mahmoud Ahmed is an Ethiopian singer born in Addis Ababa in 1941. He began his career with the Imperial Bodyguard Band, and his 1975 album Ere Mela Mela became a landmark of modern Ethiopian music. His work later reached a global audience through the Ethiopiques compilation series.
