Tilahun Gessesse

Tilahun Gessesse was an Ethiopian singer born in Addis Ababa in 1940 and widely known as The Voice. He recorded hundreds of songs over a career spanning five decades, performing with groups including the Imperial Bodyguard Orchestra. He died in 2009 and remains one of the most celebrated voices in Ethiopian music history.
