Dagne Walle

Dagne Walle (Amharic: ዳኜ ዋለ), also spelled Dagne Wale on his YouTube titles, is an Ethiopian singer whose public catalog, as of this writing, is a string of singles and one compilation on Apple Music plus an official YouTube channel. No birth date, birthplace, or press biography turned up on the pages fetched for this profile, so none is supplied. The ethio.music artist entry calls him an Amharic singer and points at the same channel and the same September releases. The channel is @dagnewale. Apple Music’s artist page for him, opened on the Canada storefront on 29 September 2026, is Dagne Walle.

That Apple page’s latest-release module is Addis Ababa, a one-song single dated 17 September 2026. The top-songs module, read the same day, lists Aba Siber (2022), Ere Hagere (2026 single), Addis Ababa (2026), Yedem Tsehay (2021 single), Yecheneke Elet (credited to the Aba Siber release and dated 2020 in that row), Wey Finkich (on Aba Siber, 2022), Enna (featuring Dagne Walle, on Malefiya, 2023), Wond Lej Korete (2024), a second Yedem Tsehay row on Aba Siber (2022), and Leblebew, Lefo Lefo, and Wub Abeba, all on Aba Siber (2022). The singles-and-EPs module adds Lefo Lefo and Wub Abeba as 2026 singles of their own, lists both the spellings Wond Lij Korete and Wond Lej Korete as 2024 singles, and keeps Yedem Tsehay as a 2021 single. Aba Siber itself is filed as a 2022 compilation. A separate Apple album page for Bamlak Getnet’s Gojame Tebiye, fetched the same day, also shows a Dagne Walle single titled Gondare Bezina in its “you might also like” row; that title is not on the top of the artist page above, so it is noted only as a store cross-link, not as a ranked release.

The September 2026 story on the Official Video desk is a same-day pair on the artist channel. YouTube’s oEmbed record for the first is “Dagne Wale – Addis Ababa | አዲስ አበባ – New Ethiopian Music 2026 (Official Lyrics Video),” author Dagne Walle, channel @dagnewale: watch. The second is “Dagne Wale – Ere Hagere | ኧረ ሀገሬ – New Ethiopian Music 2026 (official Lyrics Video),” same channel: watch. Both are labeled lyrics videos on the artist channel, which is why ethio.music classifies them Official rather than as copies.

On the frozen Amharic Secular board for the week ending 17 September 2026, both entered as new: Addis Ababa at No. 7 with 338,545 Kworb YouTube Ethiopia weekly streams, and Ere Hagere at No. 8 with 322,058. The board for the week ending 24 September 2026 moves Addis Ababa to No. 1 (812,741, up six places) and Ere Hagere to No. 4 (602,648, up four). The desk’s daily notes, which cite Kworb’s Ethiopia daily chart, fill in the days between those freezes. On the board dated 2026/09/19 the two songs held No. 1 (492,438) and No. 2 (369,501). On 2026/09/20 Addis Ababa was still No. 1 (311,013) and Ere Hagere was No. 4 (183,463). On 2026/09/21 Addis Ababa was No. 3 (184,859). On 2026/09/22 it was No. 4 (125,232). The weekly crown on the 24 September board is the figure ethio.music freezes; the daily lines are the path, not a second ranking system.

That is the public record this desk will use: an Apple Music singles catalog running from at least 2020–2021 titles through the 2022 Aba Siber compilation and the 17 September 2026 pair, an official channel whose titles use the Wale spelling, and two Official Lyrics Videos that led the late-September Amharic Secular board. Nothing here is a biography of where he was born or who produced the records, because those pages do not say.
