St. Louis-based musician ROBÉL (Robel Ketema) has set his five-track EP Nile Mississippi for Nov 6, 2026, according to his Bandcamp page, which tags it Ethiopian and Ethio-jazz. The second single, MTV BET, is due Oct 23 in his distributor’s listing. The first, Gumaye, featuring vocalist Girmaye Belay, came out on Oct 9, so listeners can hear it now and preorder the EP.
There is no official video yet. Gumaye streams on ROBÉL’s Bandcamp and on Apple Music.
The EP lists Gumaye, MTV BET, Flood of ’93, Eternity and Homesick. A ROBÉL single called Homesick came out in 2022; the listing does not say whether the EP track is the same recording.
Credits
Bandcamp credits music, arrangement and composition to Robel Ketema, with Teklu Demssie on saxophone, Dante Thurkill on bass, Girmaye Belay on vocals on track 1 and Nadav Peled on guitar on tracks 4 and 5. The distributor’s listing for MTV BET adds Brandon Combs on drums and names Robel Ketema as studio producer. Apple Music lists Gumaye under ℗ 2026 sunshine food mart.
